Ethnos is a TV production company based in Bologna (Italy), specialized in documentaries. The company collects the experience and talent of three professionals in audiovisual communication, operating in the field for over 20 years.
Ethnos distinguished itself both at national and international level, receiving important awards and recognitions. It has worked on a continuous basis for RAI (national Italian television) producing naturalistic and geographic documentaries. Its productions have been aired repeatedly on RAI, other private Italian TV channels and European TV stations, and are distributed in the United States by Filmmaker’s Library. Ethnos collaborates with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-PNUD) in the production of documentaries for the series Azimuths. It has obtained funding and support for its projects from various institutions such as: Media Plus Program of the European Union, MEDEA Programme, European Commission (DGVIII – Development), Regione Emilia-Romagna, Province of Bologna, Unicef, Italian Ministry for Social Solidarity, Istituto Luce.
Ethnos works with non-governmental organizations, schools, associations and public institutions producing documentaries on social issues, didactic and training programs, and giving courses for teachers and students on various aspects of audiovisual communication.
